Consider The Source: Treasuries

In this episode of “Consider the Source,” Michael Wagner, Chief Operating Officer at Omnia Family Wealth, talks Treasuries and why they may be a good investment.

A few things you should know about Treasuries:

  • They are backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government.
  • Treasuries are considered a risk-free and safe investment.
  • While they don’t traditionally pay out a lot of interest, they are paying more now than in the past.
  • Short-term Treasuries (1-3 years) are less affected by rising interest rates.

In summary, Treasuries can be a great place to invest excess capital in a time of recession, while you wait until you are feeling comfortable to take on more risk.
