Consider the Source: Why Long-Term Investors Should Not Fear a Recession
In this episode of “Consider the Source,” Michael Wagner, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Omnia Family Wealth discusses a topic that is currently top of mind for most investors: recession.
In this video, Wagner offers his perspective on what a recession could look like in 2022 or 2023. He reminds us that recessions are part of the natural business cycle and, therefore, inevitable. He points out that they don’t always look like the 2008/2009 great recession, which had a unique set of characteristics.
Wagner feels that an upcoming recession could look more like “a pause and step back in the economy, but really so that we can take multiple steps forward and be stronger for it.”
Omnia is keeping an eye on specific indicators, including an uptick in defaults in the credit market, valuations, the yield curve, and analyst earnings projections.
