Michael Wagner Explains Omnia’s Approach to Market Volatility to Financial Advisor
Financial Advisor sat down with Michael Wagner, co-founder and chief operating officer at Omnia Family Wealth to discuss the questions he is getting from clients related to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and the volatility it could create.
Wagner told Financial Advisor that he believes clients at Omnia Family Wealth are well positioned to withstand any volatility. “We have spent a lot of time talking about potential risks, so our clients are not going to be surprised there is a storm happening,” Wagner said.
His advice is to consider investing in commodities rather than just stocks and bonds. “We have had a low allocation to equities for some time already,” Wagner said.
Wagner told Financial Advisor, “The real question is: What does this mean for inflation? The longer-term impact is that energy and goods are going to be more expensive. Investors should move beyond just stocks and bonds because that is not going to give the same diversity it did in the past.”
