In this latest installment of “Consider the Source,” Michael Wagner, co-founder and chief operating officer at Omnia Family Wealth, discusses the benefits of investing in short-term Treasuries.

With interest rates on cash rising to levels we haven’t seen for over a decade, Wagner discusses strategies that Omnia is currently employing for the firm’s clients who are invested in the Treasury markets. 

“We haven’t seen rates on cash this high in easily ten years, so I’m talking to you today because I think this is a really important opportunity that a lot of people are missing,” Wagner says. 

During the video, Wagner also discusses strategies which could help investors earn excess cash on the sidelines.

“To the extent that clients have extra strategic cash on the sidelines, we actually put it in a separate account that we’re not charging any fees on,” Wagner says.  “We are diligently rolling that cash and constantly looking for the best opportunities in the Treasury market and it’s making a real difference.”
