Lawrence Muscant
Partner, Executive Vice President
Lawrence Muscant is a rare blend of geopolitical strategist, investment advisor, and philanthropic architect. As Executive Vice President of Omnia Family Wealth, he sits at the nexus of the firm’s investment and business‑planning committees, translating global political risk and macro‑economic currents into actionable portfolio strategies for ultra‑high‑net‑worth families. Drawing on three decades of advising many of America’s most influential and impactful foundations, he also guides Omnia clients in designing philanthropy that delivers measurable, mission‑driven impact.
Before joining Omnia, Lawrence spent more than a decade in Washington, DC as Senior Vice President of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), helping transform a boutique research shop into what The New York Times’ Bret Stephens called “the special forces of the think‑tank community.” A sought‑after analyst and lecturer, he has briefed and consulted with political and business leaders across North America, Europe, and the Middle East—frequently illuminating the interplay between national security and economic policy. His earlier career includes crafting speeches for U.S. presidential and Senate campaigns.
Lawrence holds a B.A. in Political Science and a degree from Concordia’s School of Community & Public Affairs, an M.A. in International Relations from Carleton University, and advanced doctoral research in international relations and comparative politics. While at Carleton, Lawrence lectured on political economy and American foreign policy. Lawrence also studied business administration at the University of Notre Dame, and completed specialized finance programs at the New York Institute of Finance and the Corporate Finance Institute. Fieldwork and advisory projects have taken him across the United States, Europe, and to Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE, reinforcing his reputation as a trusted interpreter of global affairs for investors and policymakers alike.
